Alfardan Automobiles, the official BMW importer for Qatar celebrated the BMW M range at an exclusive event held at Losail International Circuit in Doha. The two-day event, held on 13th -14th November saw BMW M models put to the test, pushing them to their limits and experiencing their true capabilities by guests who attended the event. The event started with a parade organized by the Mawater Group, taking a group of the M models from the Alfardan Automobiles showroom in West Bay to the Losail International Circuit.

Making their Middle East debut at the Qatar International Motor Show in February, the second generation BMW X6M and X5M models were showcased mongst a range of M models. The two new models, Set the benchmark in terms of driving dynamics and outstanding efficiency in the high-performance Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) and Sports Activity Coupé (SAC) segment.
The striking M design and distinctive high-class interior of the two newest additions to the BMW M GmbH stable. Both the BMW X6M and X5M are powered by the latest-generation 4.4-litre V8 engine, using innovative M TwinPower Turbo technology to push torque and output to even higher performance levels. Also present at the track day was the BMW M4 Coupe.
The high-revving six-cylinder in-line engine with M TwinPower Turbo technology developed for the BMW M4 Coupe produces a maximum output of 431 hp. Its peak torque of 550 Newton metres (406 lb-ft) is available across a wide rev band yet the engine also achieves a reduction in fuel consumption and emissions of around 25 per cent. BMW M4 Coupe covers the sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds (with the optional seven-speed M Double Clutch Transmission).
The M4 Convertible replicates the performance figures of the BMW M4 Coupe. The power unit generates maximum output of 431 hp from its 3.0-litre displacement and serves up peak torque of 406 lb-ft across a wide rev band. The BMW M4 Convertible therefore offers the driver not only exceptionally sporty performance attributes – the sprint from 0 to 100 km/h takes just 4.4 seconds (with the optional seven-speed M Double Clutch Transmission) – but also sufficient reserves of power to cruise along in relaxed but rapid style with the roof down. Overall emphasises its stylish and distinctive appearance through its individual character and places the fascination of sporty and dynamic open-top driving at centre stage.
Alfardan Automobiles also had the iconic BMW M1 1981 model year, honoring the history and heritage of BMW M. The BMW M1 is a leading model in automotive art and the name it bares demonstrates its standing: "M” which represents BMW’s most powerful engineering and substance, and "1" connotes the project’s importance in BMW history.
The standard six-cylinder engine is capable of accelerating to 100 km in approximately 6 seconds, reaching a top speed of 265 km/h, curb weight of approx. 1450kg. The bodies and the space frames of the 453 BMW M1 copies were made in Italy before being delivered to Germany.
The BMW M1 model has a 277 horse power and a manual five-speed transmission.
