Ms Farah Amhaz, General Motors Middle East’s Regional Communications Manager, received the prestigious “PR Manager of The Year” in the Middle East award, presented by a group comprising some of the most prominent automotive media in the region and the Arab world.
At a ceremony attended by Mr Mario Spangenberg, President and CEO of General Motors MENA and several of GM Middle East’s senior management, publishers and editors representing the various media outlets behind the award presented Ms Amhaz with the trophy.
During the ceremony, Mr Mousub Shashaa, CEO of ArabGT.com spoke on behalf of the judging panel, stating: “Ms Amhaz is undoubtedly one of the most cooperative PR managers in the region, and is very interactive with the automotive media. We, as a group of automotive media have experienced over the past few years her exemplary work and her efforts in making sure our job is made easier, wether through global and regional launches, test drives, and providing us with the required media material in a professional way, helping us to enrich our content and provide our audience with the required information. This is why this group of automotive media representatives have chosen Ms Amhaz to be named as 2016 PR Manager of The Year in the Middle East”.
Upon receiving her award, Ms Amhaz said: “It’s a great honour for me to receive this award, especially as it’s presented by a group of specialised automotive media. I’m happy to accept this award on behalf of my colleagues in the Communications and Public Relations department at General Motors Middle East. We take great pride in this award, and it’s a testimony to the team’s relentless efforts in maintaining GM’s strong and constant presence in the region, and our strong relations with the automotive media”.
