SKYLINE AUTOMOTIVE SETS OUT AMBITIOUS PLANS FOR HYUNDAI AND GENESIS BRANDS IN QATAR


Newly appointed as the official distribution partner for the State of Qatar by Hyundai Motor Company, Skyline Automotive has embarked on an ambitious plan for growing the global automotive brand in the country by setting new standards for dealers.

“Skyline Automotive is making rapid progress in delivering strong and exciting plans to build the profile and market share of the Hyundai and the luxury Genesis brands from our showroom on B-ring road. Our vision for Skyline Automotive is to establish a new benchmark operating model for quality in Qatar by investing in our business, market and people,” explained General Manager Paiman El Malla.

According to Mr. El Malla, partnering with the Hyundai Motor Company was a strategic decision reflecting the manufacturer’s success in delivering value and quality in the auto industry in recent years. “Hyundai has invested significant resources in building up high-tech research and development divisions and utilising high-grade materials that offer quality on a par with luxury brands but at more competitive prices.” added El Malla.

To achieve the ambitious goals Skyline Automotive has set for success in Qatar, the company is investing heavily in its operations, its people and in building both automotive brands with a clear strategy focused on the following:

• Bringing an incredible product range to Qatar. Skyline Automotive carefully chose the product range it offers Qatar’s motorists to meet a range of needs and expectations. Skyline Automotive will stock 15 different 2017 models across city cars, coupes, sedans, SUVs and luxury sedans. The 2017 models available now include: i10, i30, Accent, Elantra, Sonata, Azera, Creata, Tuscon, Santa Fe and Grand Santa Fe, Veloster, H1 vans and the luxury G80 and G90 Genesis models. The hybrid IONIQ models will be available in April of 2017. This will make Skyline Automotive the first dealer to introduce the hybrid IONIQ models to Qatar in line with their focus on offering a wide variety of options to customers and paving the way for its environmentally-conscious consumers.

• Developing people as the business’ best asset. Skyline Automotive is making considerable investments in its people to ensure staff working with customers across the entire operation have all the tools and training required to offer a truly personalized experience. They are hiring market-leading professionals to run in-house training for Skyline Automotive staff. To that end, Skyline Automotive offers continual learning opportunities and on-the-job training through modules designed to support teams in delivering the very best customer service experience. According to Mr. El Malla, this begins with hand picking the most knowledgeable and passionate staff with the right mix of experience and aptitude for success.

• Delivering an industry-leading service experience to customers. Skyline Automotive also plans to open a number of quick-service centres soon and currently has two to three sites under consideration. The business is also making good progress on developing its technologically-advanced, flagship showroom located on the F-ring road which is due to open next year.
