Doha Marketing Services Company W.L.L (DOMASCO), distributor for Honda vehicles in Qatar, has announced the launch of the restyled and refined 2018 Honda City.
Winner of the 2016 Middle East Car of the Year for ‘Best Small Sedan’, the Honda City, now has received total refinement making it more premium and sportier which conforms to Honda’s New Design Direction.
With three grades, DX, LX and EX, the 2018 City echoes the same philosophy of Advanced Sporty Design, Best Comfort and Best Fuel Efficiency in the category.

Exterior
The 2018 City boasts of a completely restyled front fascia with the New Honeycomb Grille giving it a bold and aggressive look. The new LED Day Time Running Lights (DRL), standard in all grades, adds luxury and class which immediately grabs your attention. Front Fog Lights (only in the EX grade) with their wide and low beam enhance visibility cutting through dusty weather conditions or heavy fog.
In addition to the front exterior changes, the rear bumper has also been given a premium feel. The rear tail lights enhance the visibility and stance of the new City making its contour distinct from the crowd. Another exterior feature change is the new ‘Diamond Cut’ styled alloy wheels which further accentuates the design of the new City giving it even more confident and sophisticated look.
Other exterior features include Chrome Front Grille, Halogen Headlights, Power Door Mirrors and Shark Fin Antenna (only in LX and EX) and rear parking sensors exclusive to the EX grade.
Interior
The craftsmanship in the 2018 City creates thoughtful interiors based on the ‘Man Maximum, Machine Minimum’ philosophy. With a new interior colour of Black, the 2018 City contains a grand cabin space, extensive leg room, rear a/c ducts and an ergonomically designed cockpit.
One of the new features is the Rear Wide View Camera which gives a wide view of the rear of the car every time you shift to reverse. Bright Vanity Mirror with Light and Map Lights further enhance convenience in the cabin.
Some of the features on the LX and EX grade include, Touch Screen Display Audio, which adopts a smart phone style interface and also mirrors your smart phone when you connect it with an HDMI cable, cruise control and Bluetooth HFT phone controls on the steering wheel. Exclusive features on the EX grade are Engine Start Stop Button, Smart Entry, Paddle Shifters, 60/40 rear seat split and auto air conditioning.
Powertrain
All the three grades are powered with a 1.5L SOHC i-VTEC Petrol engine which delivers outstanding fuel economy and a maximum power of 118hp @ 6,600rpm followed by a maximum torque of 145N-m @ 4,600rpm. This engine is mated to the new generation CVT transmission with a fuel consumption of 20KM per litre.
Safety
The 2018 City’s Advanced Compatibility Engineering™ (ACE™) body enhances self-protection while mitigating damage to other vehicles in the event of a collision hereby enhancing occupant protection. Other safety features include:
ABS: Anti-Lock Brakes ensures you have full steering control to avoid the danger ahead.
VSA: Vehicle Stability Assist helps when a sudden steering input is required to avoid danger ahead. It applies the brakes to the wheels individually in order to keep control and prevent the car from over turning.
EBA: Emergency Brake Assist looks at how quickly the driver has depressed the brake pedal. It applies additional brake pressure to activate ABS earlier. This can reduce the stopping distance to avoid danger ahead.
EBD: Electronic Brake Force Distribution ensures brake force is applied to the front and rear according to the number of passengers and luggage being carried in the car.
