Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Doha will transform its showroom into an art gallery this month to host an exhibition by renowned Qatari artist Abdul Hameed Al Siddiqi.
From October 9th to 18th this month, the ultra-luxury brand’s sole dealer in Qatar will display numerous works by Siddiqi, including the debut of some never-before-seen pieces being revealed exclusively at the exhibition.
The highlight of the exhibit will see Siddiqi sketch live in front of VIP guests and Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Doha customers. Fittingly, with the exhibit interspersing the showroom’s iconic cars, Siddiqi will depict one of the latest Rolls-Royce models in his renowned style, featuring Doha’s skyline in the background. A time-lapse video will capture the entire process as Siddiqi’s Rolls-Royce work of art becomes a reality.
Tarek Moataz, Brand Manager, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Doha, said: “Since the company’s inception there have been many synergies between Rolls-Royce and the arts. Our Bespoke programme in particular allows owners to take inspiration from the arts to create truly exceptional automobiles.
“Working with a local artist in Abdul Hameed Al Siddiqi and turning the showroom into a gallery emphasises Rolls-Royce’s breadth of creativity and desire to share our customers’ passions. During this period our customers can enjoy the showroom’s guise of a gallery and appreciate both Siddiqi’s works of art and the beautiful Rolls-Royce models on display.”
The Rolls-Royce brand has strong ties to art dating back more than 110 years. The Spirit of Ecstasy, the iconic mascot that gracefully adorns the bonnet of every Rolls-Royce since 1911, was created by artist and sculptor Charles Robinson Sykes. The marque has acted as a source of inspiration ever since, prompting individuals to create their own interpretation of the famous symbol of luxury.
