Ulysse Nardin, the fine watch manufacturer, has built this Qatar edition to mark the auspicious occasion and celebrate the ties between the Swiss brand and the country.
The Qatar Executive Skeleton Tourbillon is available exclusively at the new boutique and is limited to 3 timepieces, each one as unique as its wearer. This Qatar edition brings a concrete answer to the region’s singular quest for constant innovation: coming with the original breathtakingly, bold features and design of the Executive Skeleton Tourbillon, the open-worked face pays homage to Qatar’s national flag, being brushed in deep maroon and complimentary matt white.
The arachnid-like skeleton movement reveals the delicate ballet of perfectly-meshed parts, each working in symbiosis with the others. Open-worked movements, the apex of high watchmaking, are attempted only by expert horologers. A movement of this caliber has been stripped of all unnecessary elements, each piece angled and polished to perfection. Roman numerals add a touch of elegance and the titanium case ensures durability.
This limited edition model, with a tremendous and unequalled 170-hour power reserve (nearly seven days), is also an object of beauty topped with a deep black ceramic bezel, black crown and carbon effect leather strap. Painted using a micro-painting technique which requires a paintbrush the width of a single eyelash in order to create the exquisite micro painting on the barrel bridge. The Rectangle on the Skeleton Dial uses a ‘spray paint’ colouring method to ensure a uniform effect on the whole rectangle.
