Alfardan Premier Motors Co., the official retailer of Jaguar Land Rover in the State of Qatar, scooped three prestigious awards at the Qatar Car of the Year Awards (QCOTY) ceremony organised by Maqina Middle East.
Range Rover Sport SVR won the title for “Best Car Design” based on public voting and was followed by success for the Land Rover Discovery, which won the award for “Best Luxury Seven Seater”. Jaguar’s E-PACE also took home the title for “Best Compact Premium SUV”.

Jaguar E-PACE - Best Compact Premium SUV

Range Rover Sport SVR – Best Car Design
The new Range Rover Sport SVR’s superb performance comes courtesy of the marque’s well-proven 5.0-litre V8 petrol engine, which has been uprated to produce 575PS and 700Nm of torque. The net result of this power uplift – when combined with 26kg of weight saving measures – is a 0-100km/h acceleration time of 4.5 seconds and a maximum speed of 283km/h.
Dealing with this type of power requires a much specialised chassis set up, hence modifications that provide a more dynamic steering and handling experience for the driver. With less pitching during acceleration and braking, improved turn in and greater mid corner grip, the enhancements ultimately deliver greater body control in the most demanding driving scenarios. The driving experience is also improved sonically through enhanced powertrain exhaust sound quality.
