Al Abdulghani Motors Announces Season 2 of the Toyota GR Yaris Cup Qatar

Al Abdulghani Motors, the authorized distributor of Toyota and Lexus in Qatar, has announced the launch of Toyota GR Yaris Cup Qatar Season 2, returning with an expanded format and a series of high-adrenaline race rounds running from January through April 2026 at the Lusail International Circuit.


Building on the success of its first season, the one-make racing championship returns with heightened competition. Certified by the Qatar Motor and Motorcycle Federation (QMMF) and the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA), the championship is conducted in accordance with international motorsport standards, ensuring a professionally governed and safe competitive environment.


This year, Qatar will host the Regional GR Yaris Cup, in cooperation with Mohamed Naser Al Sayer & Sons Est. Co. W.L.L. the official Toyota distributor in Kuwait bringing together both Qatari & Kuwaiti champions on home soil—further reinforcing the country’s growing position as a hub for motorsports in the region.


On the sidelines of the Qatar Custom Show, Al Abdulghani Motors hosted an exclusive unveiling event to announce the official sponsors and participating drivers for Season 2. The occasion also featured the display of the ten GR Yaris race cars that will compete in the championship, offering guests a closer look at the vehicles ahead of the season’s start.



This year’s championship is supported by ten distinguished sponsors who share a common vision for performance, innovation, and sporting excellence. The sponsors include: Al Araby 2 / winwin, Chedid Insurance Brokers, ENEOS/QALCO, What’s Goin On Qatar (WGOQATAR), Qatar Insurance Company (QIC), Ooredoo, Qatar National Bank (QNB), 1000 Walls, Safwa Group, and Al Abdulghani Motors.


The championship will feature certified drivers from Qatar, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, India, and Jordan, all competing in the Toyota GR Yaris—one of the world’s most admired rally-inspired hatchbacks—across a dynamic mix of day and night races designed to test skill, strategy, and endurance.


The success of the Toyota GR Yaris Cup Qatar is driven by close collaboration between Al Abdulghani Motors, local stakeholders, and experienced partners. This includes the technical preparation of the GR Yaris race fleet, championship management expertise, and operational coordination at Lusail International Circuit—ensuring the highest standards of safety, performance, and sporting integrity throughout the season.
