Association of Importers of Automobiles in Lebanon (AIA), the Third Edition of the e-MotorShow® Middle East for Electric & Hybrid Cars, organized by e-EcoSolutions Sustainability Firm, just opened its doors atthe Forum De Beyrouth. It will be running from 11 to 17 November 2025, offering thousands of auto lovers the unique opportunity to See and Test firsthand, the recent releases of electrified cars arriving to Lebanon by top brands such as Arcfox, Audi, Baic, BMW, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Fiat, Lexus, Maserati, Mazda, Mercedes Benz, Porsche, Smart, Toyota, Voyah, Xpeng and Zeekr, and to learn more about these new technologies via Tech-Talk interactive sessions.

The e-MotorShow® Middle East comprises 4 main platforms:

  1. An exhibition of Electric & Hybrid Cars by different leading car brands as well as several leaders in the electrification of the automotive industry such as EV charger suppliers, tire brands, insurance companies, renewable energy companies, banks, urban e-mobility and more.

  2. An e-Mobility Tech-Talks Platform featuring various e-mobility topics that aim to raise public awareness for a faster and better adoption of EVs in Lebanon.

  3. e-Circuits for Test Drives, Outdoor allowing visitors to test-drive “noise-free” and “emissions-free” electrified vehicles and feel the thrill of acceleration of EVs.

  4. e-Rally Championship: 2 simulators will be awaiting visitors to compete powered by Toyota Gazoo Racing Lebanon during the event every day. Contestants will compete with the GR Yaris Rally1 Hybrid and the top 3 fastest times will be announced on the last day with valuable prizes.

The Opening Ceremony was attended by Governor of Beirut Judge Marwan Abboud and other Government Officials and Senior representatives from the automotive industry as well as celebrities, international experts and hundreds of visitors.

It featured keynotes by H.E. the Minister of Public Works and Transport, as well as by executives from e-EcoSolutions, the AIA and Beirut Governer. The ceremony included a tour of the e-MotorShow® Middle East with H.E. the Minister of Public Works and Transport, and Free Test Drives of the Electric & Hybrid Cars with competitions on the simulators of the e-Rally Championship.

Speaking at the opening of the e-MotorShow Middle East in Beirut, Minister of Public Works and Transport Fayez Rasamny said:

“A market like Lebanon’s cannot sustain too many car agencies under one roof. It makes more sense to focus on a select number of brands, as the market today is smaller than it used to be.”

He added: “In previous motor shows, banks were the ones drawing the crowds, offering car loans at 0.5 or 1 percent interest with no down payment. Today, the show is taking place without them, yet it continues successfully. Imagine the potential if banks return to car financing; the sky would be our limit.”

The minister noted:“Chinese manufacturers have demonstrated leadership in the electric-vehicle sector and evolved remarkably fast. However, their growing numbers will inevitably lead to mergers, bringing the market back to a limited circle of strong and successful companies.”

On consumer protection, he said:“I can’t help but wonder how many Lebanese purchased cars without warranties, without agents to protect them, or even without access to software updates. Consumer protection is a government duty, and we will work on that with the Ministry of Economy.”

He further emphasized: “We should create incentives that encourage fewer private cars and more shared mobility, as part of a sustainable solution to traffic congestion and climate change.”

Regarding electric transport, the minister revealed: “We have received four electric buses from UNDP to operate between Byblos and Beirut, a first step toward promoting electric public transport.”

He concluded: “I have requested a study on the feasibility of introducing hybrid taxis at Beirut Airport, as I firmly believe hybrid vehicles will play an important role in Lebanon’s transportation future.”

Mr. Nabil Bazerji, President of the Association of Importers of Automobiles in Lebanon (AIA) added: The Electric and Hybrid Vehicle Exhibition represents an important milestone in raising Lebanese consumers’ awareness of the ongoing developments in the automotive sector.

-  The Members of the Association are committed to applying the highest safety standards and ensuring the protection of consumer rights by providing after-sales services in full compliance with the standards imposed by manufacturers including maintenance, warranty execution, recall campaigns, software updates, supply of genuine spare parts, as well as the servicing, replacement, and reconditioning of lithium batteries by qualified specialists in accordance with factory requirements.

- We warn against the state of chaos prevailing in the Lebanese market due to the lack of enforcement of Article 5 of the Competition Law, which guarantees consumer rights by protecting the market from random imports of new vehicles that are not guaranteed by the manufacturer and consequently are not subject to periodic updates.

- We reaffirm the AIA’s commitment to supporting progress in the automotive sector, in the interest of the national economy, environmental protection, and road safety.

Mr. Gilbert Tegho, CEO of e-EcoSolutions Emphasized that innovation, not tradition, drives progress and highlighted the theme “Technology at the Service of the Human and the Planet,” stressing that true progress blends performance with purpose to serve people and protect the environment. The speech placed Lebanon within a global shift toward electric mobility, as countries like China, Europe, and the U.S. lead breakthroughs in batteries, AI, and clean transport. Despite challenges, Lebanon’s EV charging network has grown from 13 sites in 2019 to 147 in 2025, showing real momentum. As he also announced the upcoming “Electric Car of the Year – Arabia” Award, underscoring the region’s growing role in shaping sustainable mobility.

The e-MotorShow® Middle East is continuing until Monday November 17, and all visitors interested in attending may register on www.e-MotorShow.com in order to cut the queues at the doors.

Green Actions: We Walk the Talk!

The e-MotorShow® Middle East will also be promoting sustainability through different measures taken at the event such as promoting carpooling to reduce the visitors’ carbon emissions, offering free water refilling stations by Talaya in a bold attempt to reduce single-use plastic waste, protecting the venue’s environment using Integrated Pest Management, and more Green measures.

The e-MotorShow® Middle East contributes to 7 UN Sustainable Development Goals: SDG 3 - Good health and wellbeing, SDG 7- Affordable and clean energy, SDG 8 - Decent work and economic growth, SDG 9 - Industry, innovation and infrastructure, SDG 11 - Sustainable cities and communities, SDG 12 - Responsible consumption and production, and SDG 13 - Climate action.
