Fiat Qatar launches the Fiat Tipo

Fiat Qatar, represented by Alfardan Sports Motors, has launched the Fiat Tipo, marking its return to the Middle East region. The compact sedan features modern design, unrivaled safety, and top-class comfort at affordable pricing.

The four-door Tipo was first unveiled at the 2015 Istanbul Motor Show as the Aegea Concept, designed in Italy by Centro Stile Fiat, and developed in Turkey together with Tofaş R&D Center—one of FCA’s largest research and development centers. Already a staple in the high-functionality and affordable-price segment across Europe and Africa, the car now makes its Qatari debut.

Charly Dagher, General Manager for Fiat Qatar, said: “We are thrilled to launch the Fiat Tipo in Qatar, making it available in the Middle East once again. With its modern design, impressive list of standard features and affordable price, the four-door Tipo has all that it takes to stand out in the compact sedan market.”

The Tipo enters Qatar’s automotive scene in two fun trim levels: Easy and Lounge. Each trim level brings its own series of design elements, inside and out. Clients opting for the “Easy” grade get 16-inch wheels, a chrome-trimmed grille, body-painted side mirror caps, front fog lights with cornering function, automatic air conditioning, cruise control, parking sensors, and 40-60 split-folding rear seats. In-car entertainment is provided by a seven-inch UConnect infotainment screen in the center of the dash that is compatible with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and topped off with a six-speaker sound system. On the safety front an Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD), Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Traction Control (TC), Electronic Rollover Mitigation (ERM), Dynamic Steering Torque (DST), and Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) are also available as standard.

The top-of-the-range “Lounge” grade comes with 17-inch wheels, chrome-plated inserts, dusk and rain sensors, electrochromic rear-view mirror, rear head restraints, satellite navigation, and curtain and side airbags, among many other options.

The Fiat Tipo debuts with a 1.6-liter engine that produces 110 hp and 152 Nm of torque. Hooked to a six-speed automatic transmission sending power to the front wheels, the fuel-saving engine enables the compact sedan to go from zero to 100 km/h in 11.2 seconds before hitting a top speed of 192 km/h. The average fuel consumption of the new Fiat Tipo is 6.3 liters/100 km, while the average CO2 emissions are 146g/km.

Alfardan Sports Motors is the new authorized reseller of Fiat in Qatar. It offers an industry-leading five-year or 120,000 km (whichever comes first) warranty on all Fiat models.

The Fiat Tipo is on display along with other iconic Italian models at Alfardan Sports Motors’ showroom located in The Pearl-Qatar’s Medina Centrale area. Dedicated to offering top quality customer service, the showroom’s working hours are from Saturday to Thursday, 9 am to 9 pm.
