Skyline Automotive launches Geely’s flagship model and high-tech SUV Monjaro at Eiwan Al Gassar art gallery, St. Regis hotel.
Skyline Automotive, a subsidiary of Jaidah Group, launched Geely Auto Group’s newest CMA-based SUV in Qatar at Eiwan Al Gassar art gallery, St. Regis hotel. Named the Monjaro, the high-end SUV is the most advanced SUV ever from Geely Auto. The launch of Monjaro adds a third model to Geely’s flagship models in Qatar which also include the Coupe SUV Tugella and the compact SUV Coolray.

The Monjaro, which is built on the Compact Modular Architecture, has robust proportions with a 1,610mm broad wheel track and a 2,845mm long wheelbase, giving it both a commanding presence and an expansive interior. The Monjaro appears bold yet tranquil, tough yet polished, and traditional yet trendy depending on the angle from which it is seen.
The interior of the Monjaro orchestrates a wonderful symphony between Eastern and Western styling. The devil is in the details, such as deliberate material and color selections, to achieve a modernistic yet classic elegant interior. Custom suede is present throughout the interior giving occupants a low-key hint of luxury. Weaving in the seats incorporate Chinese elements like classical knots, adding an element of refinement to the details.
Technology has become the core base in creating a luxurious interior environment. Inside, a panoramic integrated cockpit space has been created. Designers sought to provide the finest experience for drivers and passengers by merging intelligent human-machine interaction into a visually immersive opulent setting. The Monjaro comes with a 10-speaker high-performance BOSE sound system which is combined with engine harmonic noise reduction technology and double-layered soundproofing, creating a serene interior environment like a symphonic concert hall. The addition of an interior lighting system can be customized and adapted to the driving mode creating an improved mood and atmosphere.
The Monjaro has been built using Geely's most cutting-edge Compact Modular Architecture and is equipped with top-notch safety, performance, intelligence, and sustainability. It is powered by Volvo and Geely’s jointly developed Drive-E 2.0TD engine matched with Aisin’s 8-speed automatic transmission. This high-powered combination outputs a maximum power of 175kW and up to 350 N.m of torque capable of a 0-100km/h acceleration in 7.7s.
With BorgWarner’s sixth-generation four-wheel drive system, a 50:50 front/rear torque distribution is possible, offering Monjaro users improved off-road performance. Depending on your mood and road condition, the Monjaro is equipped with 5 driving modes: an energy-efficient ECO mode, refined NORM mode, speedy SPORT mode, reliable SNOW mode, and a powerful OFF-ROAD mode.
The Monjaro is the first Geely model to provide HWA Highway Assisted Driving, which actively analyzes the vehicle's surroundings, changes lanes on its own, and keeps a safe distance from large cars. This feature is made possible by the advanced sensor suite. Additionally, by signaling, drivers can tell the Monjaro to change lanes on its own.
