The All-New Azkarra arrives in Qatar on 10 December 2020 with Skyline Automotive, a Jaidah Group company. The compact SUV redefines its segment in terms of technology, design, and engineering. The digital reveal will be broadcast on Geely Qatar Facebook and YouTube social media accounts on Thursday 10 December at 4:00PM.
Geely China’s Vice President and General Manager of Design, Guy Burgoyne said that they have worked miracles to bring luxury brand level technology into the Azkarra. Burgoyne added, “after listening to consumer feedback, we also wanted the user to have easier access to Azkarra’s technology and storage spaces by further refining our interior design.”
The All-New Azkarra has integrated the mild hybrid technology into the new model, a bold step for Geely as a new challenger in the Qatar automotive industry. Geely’s next generation compact SUV is a 48V Electric Motor Synergy (EMS) model, powered by a 1.5-liter turbo direct injection enginecomplemented by a 48V belt-starter generator (BSG), a 48V-12 DCDC converter, 48V lithium-ion battery module, and battery management system (BMS).
Amid to the Covid-19 outbreak, the All-New Azkarra will be equipped with CN95 filters similar to Geely Coolray model that was recently launched in Qatar in July 2020. These cabin filters are designed to effectively filter out dust, harmful gases, size 2.5 particulate matter (PM), droplets with diameters larger than 0.74 microns which are often attached to the Corona virus.
